Traveling to Ha Giang is an experience not to be missed, where you will see with your own eyes the Dong Van stone plateau, with the most majestic scenery in Vietnam. In particular, Ma Pi Leng Pass and Tu San Canyon, deep and majestic, will make you amazed. Go boating on Nho Que River will take you through the impressive Tu San Canyon, bringing a new feeling. Besides nature, you will discover the unique cultural beauty of the H’Mong, Dzao, Lo Lo, Tay ethnic groups… Don’t forget to visit Lung Cu Flagpole, which marks the northernmost point of the country. Enjoying unique local dishes is also an indispensable part of this journey. From September to December, the blooming buckwheat flower season will bring beautiful virtual moments, while on the occasion of Lunar New Year, the colors of peach blossoms, plum blossoms, and pear blossoms will make the space more magical. Ha Giang is truly an ideal destination for those who love nature and culture.

HA GIANG TOUR ITINERARY 2 DAYS 3 NIGHTS:

NIGHT 1: HANOI – HA GIANG (OVERNIGHT ON BUS)

19:00 – 20:00: Car picks you up at the meeting point in the Old Quarter, Opera House, Tran Quang Khai Street.
21:00 – 22:00: Pick up guests at My Dinh bus station or Gia Lam bus station (depending on the type of car) to depart for the Ha Giang tour. Overnight on the sleeper bus.
Note:
– For customers arriving at Noi Bai airport close to departure time, the sleeper bus can pick you up at Kim Anh Intersection (the beginning of Hanoi – Lao Cai highway, 03km from Noi Bai airport at around 22:00).
– In the provinces (outside Hanoi), there are bus routes to Ha Giang in the evening and arrive in Ha Giang early the next morning. You can book your own car to Ha Giang, early in the morning our tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point to start the tour program.

DAY 1: HA GIANG – QUAN BA – YEN MINH – DONG VAN (BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)

04:00 – 04:30: Arrive in Ha Giang, the sleeper bus will take you to the Homestay to rest temporarily, do personal hygiene in the morning and have breakfast at the Homestay.
07:00: Our car and tour guide in Ha Giang will pick you up to start the journey to conquer the Ha Giang Stone Plateau. On the way, stop at the following points:

  • Check in Ha Giang at Km0 of Ha Giang.
  • Bac Sum Slope: take photos and enjoy the scenery at the 8km long slope.
  • Quan Ba ​​Heaven Gate: take photos of the Fairy Twin Mountains, also known as Quan Ba ​​Twin Mountains, and the panoramic view of Tam Son town from above.
  • Visit Lung Tam Brocade Linen Weaving Village. Learn about the linen weaving culture of the Mong people as well as learn about the 41 stages to create the product (Note: Because the road to Lung Tam is an inter-village and inter-commune road that is often degraded and damaged, if the group goes during the time when the road is being repaired or when it rains and the road is bad, this point will be skipped to ensure the safety of the group’s journey).
  • Take pictures at the lonely Nghien tree – Can Ty, Quan Ba ​​on the new Quan Ba ​​- Yen Minh route.

Lunch: Have lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to visit:

  • Tham Ma slope, the slope that people used to assess the health of pack horses.
  • Cao Street with typical H’mong houses with stone fences around the houses.
  • Chin Khoanh Slope: the famous winding slope
  • Visit Sung La village (Lung Cam cultural village) and visit the ancient house of the H’mong people with earthen walls – the place used as a setting for the 2006 film “Pao’s Story” by director Ngo Quang Hai, adapted from the short story “The sound of the mouth harp behind the stone fence” by writer Do Bich Thuy, which won 4 Golden Kite awards.
  • Vuong family mansion (Meo King Palace) is located in a valley of Sa Phin commune, this is the richest and most powerful family in Dong Van district in the early 20th century. The group learns about the architecture, art, history and culture of the Vuong family (Meo King family).
  • Visit Lung Cu Flagpole – the first place of the Fatherland, the highest latitude point on the map of Vietnam.

18:00: Arrive in Dong Van town. Check in hotel, rest, have dinner. In the evening, the tour guide will take you for a walk to see Dong Van Old Quarter, which has existed for nearly a century. You can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee at the Old Quarter Cafe (at your own expense). Overnight in Dong Van.

DAY 2: MA PI LENG – NHO QUE RIVER CRUISE – HA GIANG (BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)

Morning: You will have breakfast at the restaurant. If it is a Sunday morning, you can visit the famous Dong Van market with bustling vendors selling colorful clothes of the H’Mong, Dao, Tay people…
08:00: Check out of the hotel and get on the bus to continue the journey with:

  • Conquer the 16km long Ma Pi Leng Pass connecting Dong Van with Meo Vac, which is also the most beautiful section on the road named “Happiness Road”.
  • Take pictures with the majestic beauty of Tu San Gorge (also known as Ma Pi Leng Gorge or Nho Que River Gorge) at an altitude of 1500m above sea level and an average depth of 800m – the most deeply divided terrain in Vietnam.
  • Go boating on Nho Que River: Take a boat upstream of Nho Que River to Tu San Gorge, the deepest gorge in Vietnam on Nho Que River. Nho Que River flows into Vietnam from Xeo Lung village, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, passing through Tu San Gorge along the foot of Ma Pi Leng Pass (not including Nho Que River boat trip + car transfer: 200k/person).

Noon: Have lunch in Dong Van. After lunch, you will continue to take the car back to Ha Giang.
17:30: Arrive in Ha Giang. You will have dinner at the restaurant. At the appointed time (usually around 21:00), the sleeper bus will pick you up at the Homestay and take you back to Hanoi. The next morning, around 03:00 return to Noi Bai airport, 04:00 return to Hanoi. The bus company will have a shuttle bus to take you back to the Old Quarter and the Opera House or to the nearest point for you on the drop-off route (if notified when booking the tour). End of the Ha Giang tour. See you again!

  • Transportation in Ha Giang:
    – Car from 5 to 29 seats (depending on the actual number of guests on the departure date) for car tours
    – Motorbike with driver, or self-driving depending on your choice when booking a motorbike tour
  • 01 night at a local 1-2 star hotel, sleeping 02 people/room (odd number will sleep 3)
  • 04 main meals according to the program’s standards
  • 02 breakfasts at the restaurant with bread, vermicelli, pho, rice rolls or vermicelli with grilled pork depending on the day
  • Entrance tickets to the places in the program (except for flower photography spots grown by local people)
  • Local guide to pick up and drop off and serve the group in Ha Giang
  • Drinks served on the car for 02 days in Ha Giang, 01 bottle of 500ml/guest per day
